VANS - OFF THE WALL SPRING CLASSIC, 6 – 8 May 2011
The 3rd edition of the European Open Miniramp Contest is back in Varazze Skaters and Music Acts confirmed!
The highly anticipated Vans Off The Wall Spring Classic is back in Varazze from the 6-8 May and with all the Riders and Music Act confirmed, the 2011 Edition is set to be the biggest one to date.
The International skateboarding contest will see 32 of the world’s best skaters compete in a Miniramp competition and a Stair Set Best Trick Battle throughout the weekend with Jack Beats Headlining the Vans Off the Wall Music Stage on this Saturday night.
The event is taking place in the middle of the beach in Varazze, setting the perfect background for the Friday and Saturday nights parties.
Amongst the skaters confirmed are some of the best Transition Skaters in Europe, including: Ross McGouran (UK), Kris Vile (UK), Julien Benoliel (FRA), Alex Giraud (FRA) and John Magnusson (SWE)…however, 36 lucky skaters will have the chance to compete on the pre-qualification contest of Friday, 6 May for one of the 10 wild card spots available for Saturday’s invitational contest.
Anyone interested in the competing in the open contest has to pre register by sending an email to the following address: otwspringclassic@gmail.com providing, name, age, nationality and sponsors. The spots are given out on a first come, first served basis and entries will be capped at 36 so be quick to avoid disappointment. Don’t forget: €10.000 worth of prize money will be up for grabs!
Proceedings are set to get heavy for Friday night’s Beach Party as Varazze will be filled with the sound of some of the most respected Italian Hardcore bands: La Crisi and Dufresne, whilst the famous Saturday night party is fuelled by the eclectic DJ sets of Parro, Saint Cathrine Collective and Jack Beats.
