1. How long do you ride BMX?

Since 1994, I was 12 years old.

2. How did it start?

Near my house there was a small concrete skate park. There were always some guys who were riding bikes and I was pumped. As soon as possible I needed to get a bike myself.

3. What is the main reason you ride a bike?

It’s fun and I can get my daily adrenaline kick with it.

4. With who do you normally ride, and who’s your favourite person to ride with?

There are a few. Paul Käpernick, Jan Bekurtz, Bommel, Wehlisch and some more dudes. My favourite has to be Jan Bekurtz – there’s always a good laugh and he always try to teach me barspin to manual. I can do them, but he still tries, ha ha! On the road there are guys like Mark König, Senad Grosic – we all like to ride WITH FRONT BRAKES!!!

5. Explain us an ideal day for you:

A perfect day is riding, not getting injured and no stress.

6. What do you think about the European BMX scene?

Crazy!

7. Do you enjoy either contests or would you rather be on the road in a stinky bus with 6 other dudes for 10 days?

I like both. And if someone stinks I will make him shower, ha ha!

8. What would you try if you’d jump into a foam pit?

Double flips – but only in the pit – so much fun!

9. Do you think Europe has good and important events/comps?

Oh yeah, and there are more and more. Good for the riders.

10. There’s a chance BMX freestyle will be an Olympic sport soon. What’s your opinion about that?

Personally I think BMX freestyle doesn’t fit to the Olympics. But I would have to admit that it would be an honour to represent Germany.

11. Name 5 guys you always love watching ride:

Nyquist, Mirra, Hennon, Osato, Rob Ridge and more...

12. Do you have a “guiding” motto for life?

Only the strong survive - Ha ha!

13. What was your last scariest moment?

A car accident on the highway where I was part of. Luckily no one got injured but my knees were shaking two days.

14. What are some pleasures outside BMX for you? Any other hobbies or interests?

My lady Claudi, poker, fishing, table tennis or just chilling with friends. All are pretty important to me.

15. When you’re on a plane, people can normally see you... (doing what?):

What kind of question is this?

16. 5 words to describe yourself:

Kind, honest, pretty, polite, smart - Ha ha!

17. I could use more... in my life:

No idea.

18. 5 guilty pleasures:

Still no idea.

19. What makes you happy?

Sometimes small things.

20. Dream vacation would be like:

Bali, Australia... – anywhere where it’s nice and quite.

21. You are known for doing wild tech stuff – would you do tech only if possible or do you like the mix of tech and non tech?

I like the mix with tech and stunts. First a cool lip trick session and then some bigger moves for the kick.

22. If you have to choose one obstacle to ride for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

Spine miniramp with a hip and a subbox.

23. Sometimes we can see with and without front brake. Do you think you can all your front wheel stuff without a brake?

When I ride street or dirt I don’t need a front brake. But on ramps I like to have them. No idea if I can do them all without – but hey, I have a brake.

24. How important are big contests to you? Or are jams and video projects more important to you?

For me personally all of it is part of BMX.

25. Any closing words/shout outs?

Thanks to all my supporters, without them I wouldn’t be able to live my dream. Thanks to Claudi who always helps me up and thanks to my family, my friends and my fans. BIG UP!!!
